CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Kansas City Chiefs‘ Noah Gray is often overlooked because he’s teammates with a more famous tight end, Travis Kelce. But he’s becoming a valuable player for the Chiefs.
Gray showed it on the game’s opening possession on Sunday against the Carolina Panthers. Gray caught a 35-yard touchdown pass from Patrick Mahomes to put the Chiefs ahead 7-0.
Gray had two touchdown catches in last week’s game against the Buffalo Bills.
According to NFL Next Gen Stats, Gray had 11.9 yards of separation on his Rec TD, the most yards of separation on a Chief Rec TD in the last two seasons.
