HOUSTON — After the Lions fell behind 10-0 early to the Texans, Detroit quarterback Jared Goff used play-action to hit tight end Sam LaPorta for a 20-yard touchdown pass.
Goff, outside the pocket, connected with LaPorta for a deep right pass at 10:52 in the second quarter.
The score marked Goff’s 200th career passing touchdown and his sixth passing TD of the season on play-action, tying Baker Mayfield, Lamar Jackson and Sam Darnold for most in the NFL, per ESPN Research.
