AP poll reaction: What you need to know about each Top 25 team

And down went No. 1 and No. 2. It was an eventful weekend for Associated Press ranked teams. Upsets were inevitable, including No. 1 Auburn losing at home to ranked Florida, and No. 2 Duke losing on the road to Clemson. Despite the home loss, Auburn remains No. 1 this week, while Duke’s does drop it down a spot to No. 3 (tied with Florida). In its place is now No. 2 Alabama, setting up a No. 1 vs. No. 2 matchup this weekend.

Clemson, meanwhile, reaped the benefits of its win to enter the AP poll at No. 23.

Elsewhere, UConn’s stunning blown-lead loss to St. John’s in Storrs drops the two-time reigning champions out of the poll, making way for fellow Big East team Creighton (whom the Huskies face this week), which upset Marquette this past weekend and is currently on a hot streak.

The biggest riser overall is Arizona, while Marquette and Maryland both dropped seven spots this week.

Here’s a look at the full Week 14 poll for the 2024-25 men’s college basketball season.
