Walker Valley (35-8) advanced to the title game after a hard-fought 10-8 victory over Page High School on Thursday. Senior pitcher Ryann “Boogs” Presswood delivered a complete-game performance, striking out nine batters and securing the win. Offensively, senior Alyssa Davenport powered the Lady Mustangs with two home runs and five RBIs, including a three-run shot in the first inning and a two-run homer in the second.
Head coach Lauren Limburg praised her team's resilience, stating, “What a game. We fought in that game really hard. There were a lot of ups and downs, and I think it just goes back to the girls' belief and love for each other. We just found a way to win, and I am so totally proud of them. We've got one more.
