#14 Vols Begin NCAA Tournament Run at Home in Knoxville Regional

The Tennessee Volunteers, seeded No. 14 nationally, commence their NCAA baseball tournament journey tonight at Lindsey Nelson Stadium, hosting the Knoxville Regional. As the defending national champions, the Vols aim to leverage home-field advantage to advance in the postseason.
Knoxville Regional Overview
The Knoxville Regional features four teams:
  • No. 1 seed: Tennessee (SEC)
  • No. 2 seed: Wake Forest (ACC at-large)
  • No. 3 seed: Cincinnati (Big 12 at-large)
  • No. 4 seed: Miami (OH) (MAC Champion)

The double-elimination format begins today with Wake Forest facing Cincinnati at 1 p.m. ET on ESPN+, followed by Tennessee taking on Miami (OH) at 6 p.m. ET on ESPNU.

Tennessee's Path Forward
Should the Volunteers win their opening game, they will face the winner of the Wake Forest vs. Cincinnati matchup on Saturday evening. A loss would place them in an elimination game earlier that day.

The regional winner will advance to the Super Regionals, scheduled for June 6–9, moving one step closer to the College World Series in Omaha, Nebraska, which begins on June 13.
