Bears Football Player Interview: JJ’s Two Picks & Hezekiah’s Helmet-Hit Comeback for the win

Junior defensive back JJ Johnson and freshman running back Hezekiah Thomas join the weekly player interview to break down last week’s wild 21-20 escape over Red Bank.

JJ explains how he read the receivers for his two interceptions—one that stopped a scoring threat and sparked Bradley’s massive 96-yard, 20-play drive. Hezekiah shares his path from Ocoee Middle and Cleveland Youth football, the helmet-to-leg hit that forced him off in the first half, and how he iced it, shook it off, and returned at full speed after the break.

Both talk energy, special-teams mistakes, the second-half turnaround, offseason training, dream cars (Hellcat vs. Tesla), and what awaits Friday night at Oak Ridge in a huge Region 2-6A battle.
