MLB:

The Washington Nationals took down the Atlanta Braves last night with a 5–3 victory. The two teams square off again tonight at 6:45, with full coverage on Mix 104.1. Pre-game and post-game coverage is proudly presented by Cleveland Plywood.

NBA Playoffs:

In the Western Conference Finals, the Oklahoma City Thunder made a statement with a dominant 114–88 win over the Minnesota Timberwolves to take the series lead.

Over in the East, the Indiana Pacers travel to Madison Square Garden tonight to face the New York Knicks in Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Finals. Tip-off is at 8 p.m. on TNT and can also be heard locally on ESPN Cleveland 101.3.

High School Sports:

Rain postponed Walker Valley’s softball game Tuesday at the TSSAA State Tournament, but the Lady Mustangs were back on the field this morning at 10:30 Eastern to face Page High School in double-elimination play. Regardless of the outcome, both the winner and loser will be back in action at 4:30 Eastern / 3:30 Central this afternoon.

In girls tennis, Walker Valley’s season came to an end after a 4–0 loss to Brentwood in state tournament play.

NFL News:

In a landmark decision, the NFL has approved its players to compete in flag football at the 2028 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles. This marks the first time NFL athletes could represent their country on the Olympic stage, as flag football joins the LA28 program.
