Big news locally as Coach Howard Pride has been named the new head boys basketball coach at Cleveland High School. Pride brings a strong résumé, having coached at East Hamilton last season and Stewart’s Creek prior to that. A former standout player at Vanderbilt University, Pride looks to bring leadership and experience to the Blue Raiders' program.

In Major League Baseball, the Braves blanked the Mets 5-0 behind stellar pitching and timely hitting. The two teams meet again tonight at 7:15 with coverage on Mix 104.1 and ESPN Cleveland 101.3. Pre- and post-game coverage is presented by Cleveland Plywood.
