The 150th Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show

"Penny" Makes History at the Garden In a stunning conclusion to the 150th anniversary of the Westminster Dog Show, Penny, a 4-year-old Doberman Pinscher, was crowned Best in Show last night.

Handled by veteran Andy Linton—who notably won with another Doberman 37 years ago—Penny bested over 2,500 dogs to take the purple ribbon. It marks only the fifth time a Doberman has won the top prize in the show's long history. Judge David Fitzpatrick praised the final lineup as one that would "go down in history," but it was Penny’s perfect stance and "pleaser" personality that sealed the win.
